Lalu Prasad Shaw
Born in erstwhile Bengal, Shaw studied at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata. He has exhibited extensively in India and abroad since 1956, and his works have been a part of shows such as the II British Biennale, London, 1970, the VII Paris Biennale, 1971, the Norwegian Print Biennales, 1974 & 1978, the World Biennale of Graphic Art, London, 1980 and the II Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh, 1984.Shaw has received many awards like the West Bengal State Lalit Kala Akademi Award, 1969 and Birla Academy Award, Kolkata, 1975 -8.The artist lives and works in Kolkata.
